A.R.C. SUMMER MEETING.
At Ellerslie this morning, there was no work of importance. Mahaki, who was indulged in swimming exercise yesterday, again made his appearance, and got through a lighb bask. The hard state ef the ground is causing a number of horses to become sore.
The privileges in connection with the meeting were Bold at the auction mart of T. Q. Beale and Co. today. The buyers were:—Grand stand booth, P. Purcell, £115; lean to bar, A. R. Dunn, £124; No. I booth, Mrs Cleal, £80; No. 2, &S. Tooraan, £54; No. 3, Donovan, £28; No. 4, Mra Kelly, £41 ; cards, W. Adams, £196; refreshment stalls, Mrs Mclntosb, £53.
