MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

Owharoa United.—The drive has been advanced 20fb during the week.

Hauraki Associated. — The winze is down 89ft. Expec'o bo break bhrough ab any bime. No, 1 lead is 10 to 15 inches bhick good looking, quartz. A nice mineral-Bed lead five incheo thick has been cub crossing in good looking country.

Mata Rkefs.— On the Jey Gould Bection a very promising 18in lode i.i giving fair dish prospects. A prospecting drive has beon put in 12fb from the surface and cub through the Sheridan Reef, which hero measures 30fb from wall to wall, and gives fair prospects by pounding. An 18in lode has also been found in tho creek near battery. Ib is very heavily mineralized. King of Whangamata.—We have now driven 41fb on No. 2 reef, and are in sufficiently for to start the crosscut now, bhe quartz continues to look very well andabill carrie:. good minerals.

Grace Darling.—The crosscut ia now in bettor country, A start has been made to drivo south of the crosscut at the Portsea level. The reef is rather small, bub should open oub a3 there is a large body of stone in tho winze which was sunk within a few feet of the crosscut,

Hauraki North.—Very good crushing dirt is coming bo hand from the stopes at No. 1 level with occasional email hauls of picked sbono. No. 2 level is in 45fb on tho reef wesb from tho crosscut. The reef is improving again and the drive is getting well under the run of gold now being worked over head. Tlie latter should be completed next week.

Midas.—Tho new manager gives ib aa his opinion that Justice reef was cut 50 feot back from the present face where there is v, mas. of 'stringers 8 foeb bhick,,carrying good mineral indications. Driving will be commenced on this.

Golden Spur.—The reef maintains its usual siza and appearance.

Orlando. —Tbe drive on tho new reef is now a: mosb clear ot tho hard bar. The reef is 12 inches thick, and should prove payable now that better country has been met with.

Wheal Basset?.—The reef irf very much split up, bub a few colours of gold are scon. When tho drive is cloar of the gully the reof should make a nico compact lode. At No. 2 level the lode has boon cut. Ib is about 18 inches wide, and looks very promising, a few colours of gold having been seen. At No. 3 love! indications point to tho proximity of a reef. Hauraki No. 2.—The shaft is down 200 feet.

Welcome Find. —Tho engine shaft has been sunk 15 feefc in 11 days. The country is of a mosb favourable description. The sbopes on the southern lodo are now connected with tho intermediate level. Hero the lode is from two to eight inche<_ wide, and when broken down showed strong daba nnd colours of gold.

Crrv of Gisbornjs.—The drive on the main reef is in 30ft, and the faco i~ now past tho mineralised quartz. The drive to cut the specimen leader is in 51ft, and the country i 9 favourable for projrross.

Albdrnia East.—The lode is now 7fb wide.

Adelaide. —Tbe crosscut is now in 40ft, but so, far only a few stringers have been met with. In the upper level there is evidanco that tho reef in hand will prove to be tho main lodo thrown oub of its course.

Prospect.—A gold bearing reef has been cut.

Zion. —The quartz in the south reef looks fairly well, and tbe country is still favourable.

Mountain Flower.—No. 2 crosscut ia in 346 feat from starting point.

Royal Sovereign.—No. 3 level is now in 30 feet, and No. 2 level 54 feet.

I'HCENTX, —Tho following telegram was received from tho mine manager :—" Cub a strong leader in the No. 2 crosscut carrying good gold. The country is perfecb." Wa-TEKAitri Kathleen.—l have driven a distance of 66 feet—26 foeb for the last fortnight. We are in a nico bluo sand-bone, which is well mineralised. Everything is going on satisfactorily. Byron Bay.—Tho manager telegraphed on Saturday, " Struck the reef in No. 1 crosscut, 201 feet from the flab sheeb, in splendid sandsbone country. Got payable gold by pounding." Premier.—The cross cut is in 308 feeb and ia still passing through pug formation. Three small leaders, varying from 2 to 4 inches in width, havo been cut on tho surface near the boundary. A good tail of gold was obtained from a rubbly seam, Tin in width, running alongside a conglomerate roof.
