Ward PnoFRiETAKT.--Twelve hundred foet of driving haa been done here during the past year, bub no reef has basn meb. Huge boulders of quartz are being meb in the present drivo, which is now in 150 ft. Stai^ oi? WAini.—.We are proHpeotios; over 'thV'Claim, ond are meeting with very encouraging indications in the shape of loose pieces of quartz scattered over the surface, and in the gravel beds where they have been cub into by the road and creek.

Waihi South,—The abaft is now down 60 feeb, bub a considerable quantity of water ia making in the bottom, and renders progress slow. The winding engine is ab work, and js acting very well, although it is rather small,

Heitman's Frerbolp.—Driving has been commenced, and the engine for winding and pumping Is acting admirably, no difficulty being experienced in keeping the bottom dry. So far, however, no improvement has taken place in the formation, and probably farther sinking will be required before bhe auriferous counbry is *neb, Kinsklla'b.—A oontracb for another 200 feeb of driving has been leb, under tbe supervision of Mr P, Bain, There is as yeb no appearance of eandsbpne, and driving is easy and rapid.
