SUDDEN DEATH IN PONSONBY.

Tins morning ib was reported to Constable Carlyon, of the Ponsonby station, thab a man named Viencienb Vincpen, pedlar, of King-street, had died suddenly in bed at five o'clock this morning. Ib appears that at four o'clock he complained to Mrs Vinepen id bed of pains, bub went off to sleep, and died an hour.later. Dr. Bayn tun wna summoned, and he gave a certificate that death was due to heart disease and chronic rheumatism, having known deceased for a long timo. Deceased for the last seven years had been almost disabled with rheumatism, and made a living by selling Buiall articles from house to house. The facto were forwarded to Dr. Philson (Coroner), bub he was of opinion that an inquest wae unnecessary. Deceased was 78 years of age, and a native of Italy.
