The firsb match of tho presenb season botween the Auckland ropreaentatives and the representatives of an outside Union takes place to-morrow at Potter's Paddock, against the Thames. Provided the weather is favourable, visitors may expecb to see a very interesting game. Tho Thames Union aro sending along this year an unusually strong fifteen, and though it can hardly be expected that the visitors will prove victorious, they will at least give a good account of bhemsolves,. As to the local fifteen, if those originally chosen are all prosonfc, they should have no difficulty in effecting a win. A great deal of interest, however, is being taken in the match,, as ib will tend to show the strength of tho Auckland " rep. " team which will play against Queensland nox't week. .
