THE TAILORESSES' FANCY FAIR.
The Fancy Fair being held ab the Drill Shed by the Tailoresßes' Union ia meeting with an unprecedented success, which must bo exceedingly gratifying to those who have assisted in promoting ib. Yesterday evening the numbers who sought-admission were.quite as large as on the bwo previous nights, though the weather was decidedly worse, and shortly after eighb o'clock the doors had to be closed to prevenb bhe building from being overcrowded. The Secretary (Mrs Hendre) has received a large cumber oi telegrams from tho Southern cities congratulating the maoagemenb on bhesuccesß which the fair has mot with. Yesterday the various side shows in connection with the fair were again all liberally patronised. Instead of the usual musical entertainment a promenade concert waa substituted, in the courae of which the Amazon March was introduced with every success, and the Newton Braes Band rendered several selections, Thia porb of the fair was much appreciated This afternoon the fair, was open to the public between two and five tor tho convenience of country visitors, and a good number were in attendance. The management announce that owing to the great success of the bazaar it has been decided to keep open on Saturday afternoon and evening. Tomorrow night all gooda unsold will be aold by auction. The art union will nob be drawn till next week.
