Bay View.—No. 2-reef shows blotches of gold in the atone each breaking down. A leading stope is now being started from the intermediate to the upper level in order to finish crushiug. The best show yet seen in the claim was at the last) breaking down on Friday and Saturday. The reef was very strong and well defined, from 8 to 9 inched through, with gold showing freely in the stone." Quarts is being packed down to the beach for shipment. Roval Sovereign.—A new reef has been found, which is from 8 to 10 feet wide and in splendid country. The atone is heavily mineralised.
Pride ok Hauraki.—A start has been, made to open out south-wesb on Jones No. 1 leader. The reef looks very promising, the surrounding country being all thab ..might be desired for gold._ The leadervarioa in sizofromeightto four inches, and carries-good minerals.. In the eurface level, a smair leader has been cub which j looks very 'promising, but tho manager ia of opinion that the other leader is further ahead. * ■. ;
