STRIKE DECLARED OFF,
Sydney, this day. The miners' ballob resulted in 974 for, nnd 845 against, acceptance of the owners' proposals. Two small returns have not yet been received, bub they cannot alter tho result, and the strike will be officiolly declared off.
Active preparations are being made for resuming work in collieries. The majority of the old hands are signing an agreement, and most of the pits start again on Monday.
