Nearly an hour was spent discussing procedure in regard to. the notices of motion Wed in by Mr Hutchison yesterday. Mr Seddon considered Mr Hutchison tad taken an unprecedented course. It ehould be quite sufficient for a maaber who wanted certain documents w evidence to hand in a slip to thab •fleet to the chairman. Any of the Committee who wanted to pub a knife into any fsrion or institution had only to give Mica of motion, and the blow was dealb JMonga the publicity bhe notice attained. Olfer members thought the majority of t'ia Committee should say whab evidence would be called.
'Mr Hutchison said he had no desire to »»«big notices of motion publicity. He woffered simply to hand them into the vMirraan, bub this course was opposed. wsHon. Mr McKenzie aaid Mr.Hutchi'"n motive could easily be seen. No teention was made of the Bank of New waland, and only documents relating tothe Colonial Bank and the Ward AssoMioiiwere called for.. .
