A new discovery has been made about lour miles ap bhe Omahu River and aboub Shat d'isbance from bhe County iWd. The position U about midway between Puriri md Hikutaia. Mr Alfred Cornell is the •ncky prospector, and he brought some of the ore irifcd town to-day. Anyone acquainted with this class of quartz can see ib ©nde thab ib is of a highly argentiferous {htfracfeef, carrying heavy blue sulphides, n whicih colours of the precious metal can ae'Vefy plainly sden by bhe naked eye. fise lode, Mr Cornea informs mo, is fully lix feeb in diameter, with the blue sulphides treelydistributed through bhe whole width »f the feet.
