THE AMENDING BILL.

Wellington, this day. The Representation Act Amendment Bill provides thab in lien of the commission provided in the Act of 1887, two permanent commissions (ball be substituted, to be appointed within twenty-one days after the passing of the Bill. The Surveyor-General, Commissioners of Crown Landa in Taratiftki and Auckland districts, are to ba three official members of the North Island Cotumiesion, and the Commissioners of Crown Lands of Westland, Canterbury and Ofcago, the Middle Island Commission. The remaining two members of eaab Come mission will be nominated by the House of Repreießtativeel The Comrainsions are to eib jointly to determine the electorates as proscribed bf the Act of 1887, bat each Commission shall subsequently eib separately to determine the boundaries Of the new electorate of each islaud.
