Yesterday afternoon an inquest was held before Dr. Phileon, Coroner, on the b»dy of a man found on Saturday by a lad named Charle9 Wilkie near the Domain pond. The lad immediately informed .Mr W. Goldie, curator of the Domain, and he rani; up the police authorities, who removed the body to the morgue. Ifc waa identified as. that of William Marshall, agumdigger, about 50 years of age. Dr. Gordon made a post mortem examination on the bady, and in his evidence at yesterday's inquest ha stated that death appeared to be caused by exposure aad wanb of nourishment, and a verdict in accordance with this evidence was returned by the jury. When the body of the man Marshall was found, the only articles on his person were three half-penco and a pocket-knife, and apparently death had supervened about three days before the discovery of the remains was made.
