Wellington', this day. The "Times" gives publicity to a statemenb that a ghoß6'^o apparition has been terrifying people along the Adelaide Road, at the southern end of the city, and even pays a visit to the houses. Ib is described as clothed in ' white from head to foot, and the manner in which ib clears fences, etc., auggeets ib is "spring heel jack." Numerous persons, chiefly women, interviewed by tho " Times " representative, declared they had seen the figure, bub the police state they have received no reports on tho matter. Tho apparition changes it Bphare of operations, and is alleged to have been seen as far out as Karori, four miles from town;
