Howksley, solicitor, has published a abatement at the request of Jameson, exonerating the Chartered Company from complicity in the raid. Directors of the Company cabled to Mr Cecil Rhodea stating thab Kruger's revelations had caused uuiversal excitement, in consequence of which they hesitated to accept his resignation: Mr Rhpdea replied asking them to defer final decision in the matter, and the directors agreed to do bo.
