HASTINGS TRAINING NOTES.
The "Napier Telegraph" of a lat» ;nate contains the following Hastings waining nobas :—There was Borne excellent *ork and jumping done on the tracks ac "aetinga this morning, in view of the approaching Park racee. Ellingham wrb the "«t to start, ending Tho Plug, Aphony, a <id Pop Gun over two circuits aba Bound CB>. Georgo Hope gave Mutiny three crrcuite, tha last round being done in the jo©pany cf Aio at top pace, both finishing
very strongly. Direct Veto And T Rose did a circuib ab top, followed by Sparkle, who waa sent over seven furlongs in good style. Wikitoria aad Heavenly Twin accomplished five furlongs ab top, the latter having fche besb of the trial. Searchlight did a ntc9 working gallop over a mile and a-half. Solitaire, Martyrdom, and Daring did a useful cix furlong flutter. Melinite aad Finroae moved freely over three circuits. Glengarry (Hyde) and Totoros (Redmond) were sent twice over the steeplechase country, both giving satisfaction i: their jumps. Forty Winka (Woolley) an<: Obaieri (Stone) did the same country, jump ing in a very clean manner. Tiritea am Hopeful were sent twice round, the formei taking hiß jumps in good style, but Hopeful refused repeatedly. Chris and Capon Rouge were exorcised over the small sticks, both doing their work well, while Rangipnnehu also jumped safely.
