Mr Knighb ißsued the weights for tho Srat day's events of the Takapuna Jockey Club Winter Meeting and. the Steeplechase 3n the second day of the gathering, punctually to timo yesterday. With the different elasßes of horee« he had to bring ;ogother, the task was no light one, and I think he has coma out of the ordeal well. la the Birthday Handicap I should say St. Kilda is given a good chance. Obher* that strike me as being nicely used are Panoply, Anita, Tit and Lady Marion. In the Steeplechase Bombardier ha« a healthy appearance with 12sb 31b opposite his name. Acceptances for all events of first day and Steeplechase, and nominations for Selling Steeplechase, fall due on Friday oighb next by9p,m. ,
