During the last day or two there has been i steadily growing demand for shares in it Stanley mine ab Karangahake. Tho following exbracb is baken from the "British Colonist" :—"The success of the Hauraki mine has brought New Zealand into favour with the investing public, and the Kathleen Crown has apparently been launched at the right moment. The area of the property is some 92 acres, surrounded by the Hauraki, Kathleen, Blagrow, Kapanga, and other known mines. The reefs running through ib .average from ifewinchea to three feet in width, and are ill gold bearing. The three reports read well, arid promise a good future for the Bine. The Hauraki, which is only about ajs'ar old, has given £101,544 of gold in Wrst twelve months and paid £80,000 in dividends; the 2a 6d shares are now 17a Mies.
