Since our last reporb on the 24th ulfe. business has been somewhat interrupted by the holidays, and tho markeb has boon quiet, bub there is now a fair amount of activity for good grades, the supply of which ie not equal to the demand, and for East Coast, which continues very scarce and firm. i*oor gums are nob inquired for. The Tillie Baker .is expected here in a lew days to load for New York, and the Prinz Valdemar is on the berth for London. Our exports for the month are -.—To New York : Alice, 447 tons. To London: Crusader (additional), 16 tons ; Borrowdale,lo6 tons ; Waihora, 27 tons ; Tasmania, 19 tons; Star of Victoria, 6 tons. Supplies from mail to mail are aboub 442 tons. The average quotations delivered in Auckland are as follows :— Poor ordinary £32 to £35 Fair ordinary ... «. ... £44 to £48 Good ordinary £51 to £52 Superior ordinary £53 to £63 East Coast £72
