M USICAL EXAM IN ATION.

The Secretary of the Trinity College, London (for musical education and examination), has forwarded the pass Hsb of the examinations recently held by the College ab Auckland and Wanganui, which were conducted by Mr Mylea Birkeb Foster, one of tho most experienced visiting examiners in the college's services. The following is a transcript of tne list. The candidates Dames are placed in the crdor of merit, and the subject of examination is pianoforte playing, except when otherwise stated :— Ssnior Division. Honours certificates. — Batger, Heywood, Walton (violin), Thompson "pianofort duet), Brabant. Senior Division. Pass certificate.— Bracketed candidates equal in merib. (Player, Thomson), (J- Adams, Spooner, Pianoforte duet, T. Adams, corneb, Blair). (Winstone, Warren), Christie. Junior Division. Honours Certificate.— Whitelaw (violin), Dine, J. Smith. Junior Division : Pass Certicate. — Bridgewnter, Cooke (violin), Bennett, Wilson, Brown, Glenn, (Worrall, Finley;. Primary Division, Certificates.—Ralph, Younjr, JSiawcom'.ie. In addition to Mr T. Adams, who passed his examination for cornet playinp, four of Mr S. Adams' pupils passed, two violin pupils with honours, viz., Miss E. Whitelaw and Miss F. Cooke, while in the primary division Miss Youn£ (pianoforte) and Master Gerald B,alph received certificates.
