The half-yearly mooting of tho shareholders in tho Invicta Goldmining Company was to have been held at Mr J. H. Harrison's offices yeelerday afternoon, but eutiicient shareholders to torui a quorum failed to pub in an appearance.
Tho directors' report shows that the area has beeu increased from 12 to <33 acref, and during tho cix months a sum of £268 10s haa been carried to the credit of the mine account as the result of gold produced from the mine.
The mine manager in his report spooks favourably cf the prospects of the mine. He states tbab thero aro from 30 to 35 tons of oro for crushing as boon ac the battery can bo obtained after the holiday?.
The sratemonb of accounts shows the expenditure to have bsen £1.(507 lOs 8:!, the principal itom boin^ £1,000 for the purchase of Iho mine, while tho receipts amount to £2,019 2k, made up by sale of shares, £1,750; fjold Hold, £268 10*, and sundries 12a.
