ROBBERY AT ELLERSLIE.
During lash night, the publican's booth on the Ellerelie racecourse was entered by thieves, and a quantity of stock, tho property of Mr M. Tanner, of the Avondale Hotel, who had the righbs for the booth ab Saturday's races, waß stolen, a considerable quantity of liquors, etc., had he left tbo booth, in readiness for Wednesday's races. Mr Tanner, on being informed of the robbery today, placed the matter in the handa of the police.
