With reference to bhe dead lock bebween bhe two branches of the Legislature over the Land and Income Tax Bill, the Premier intends to ask for a conference at an early date to offer a compromise by reducing the land tax to £200. He has sounded, aud received promises of supporb from a majority of Ministerial followers, and ib is uud.re.ood ho has decided nob to bake a firm sband with regard to the other amendments made by bhe Council, He will disclose bis plans in the Assembly on Tuesday.
