The Auckland Racing Club's Second Spring Meeting commenced today. There was a large attendance. President's Handicap, 60sovs, One mile. — Kingsman. 1 ; Lord Dunluce, 2; Anniversary, 3. Also started: Markinch, Sb. Simon, Manble, Pirate and Mavoureen. The race was won by three parts of a length. Time, lmin 40sec. Dividend : Inside, £8 7s ; outßide, £9 6s.
Auckland Guineas, of 200sova, added to a sweepstake of lOsovs each. One mile. — Fabulisb, 1; Forma, 2; Ngabuere, 3. Also started :—Armour, Dead Shot, Sb. Regel, and Miss Nelson. Won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 47sec. Dividends : Inside, £6 lis ; outside, £6 2s.
