DROWNING FATALITY NEAR ARATAPU.

A telegram received ab the Police Office shortly after ton o'clock this morning states that George Wray Thornton, a sborekeeper, residing ab Sail Point, aboub twenby miles distant from v Aratapu, wenb in a boab yesterday to take the mails off bhe abeamer Kina, and was drowned, through tbe boab being smashed to pieces. The body has not yeb been recovered. Constable Scotb, of Arafcapu, has started for bhe place to institute a search.
