MOUNT WAIHI.

This holding wiae placed on the market at Mr Brimblecombe's office, and subscribed threefold, in a very short space of time. l?b\e list was practically closed at the tiirme of application and shares had to be diuialed amongst applicants. The holding comprises 100 acres at Waihi, held under 'special claim license. The term 3 were 60 ishares of 1,000 scrip each. Of these, 20 shares wore retained by the promoters, and'i4o twere sold at £20 each.

Negotiations are in progress on behalf of English capitalists with a view of purchasing this property. It is located near Paul's Greek, and is jpeg and peg on one eide with the :|Ncirih Kapanga, an English Company, jand on the other with the Golden Load. The property consists of an a.rea'iof 50 acres, and which is said to contain several splendid looking reefs. It is stated that the Kapanga and Scotty'al reef must pass through this property, and considering the excellent prospects of tho Kapanga, ib is more than likely arrangements will be satisfactorily concluded.

Two wellknown reefs are traversinjj the widest part of your ground, and thebig reef, which outcrops on tho surface is 14 feetwideand prospects well, plenty of water power and a good machine site are on your ground. WAITEKAURI NO. 2,

Mr Isaac Jonas, who has been ground manager for the Torpedo Licensed Holding, ia at present in town, and reports -. Since my laeti report I have pub on two men, and on one of tha reefs which I have previously reported as having located only I put on four men, with a resulb that surprised me, as I found that from wall to wall ie ia 25 feet wide and the nature of the quartz ia superior to any of the other reefs which I have discovered. There ore fully 350 feet of backs, and I get gold in the dish, and the wellknown blue veins are running the quartz. The nature of the quartz is purple coloured standsbono.

HAURAKI No. 2.1

The reef is 2 feet 6 inches big, a compact body of stone and well mineralised. No gold has been seen as yet.
