CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON.
Christchurch, Saturday,
The football match, Canterbury v. Wellington, was played at Lancaster Park today, and resulted in a win, after a good close game, for the local team by 6 points to 4. At the call of half-time, Crawford had potted a goal for Wellington, and Lorimer had scored a try for Canterbury. In tho second spell, Cowlishaw evaded all of the Wellington backs, and scored behind Che posts, bub bhe kick ab goal was a failure. The game, on bhe whole, was very evsn.
