The Lambton and Burwood collieries have further reduced the price of coal 3d per ton, making the selling price for best quality 6s 9d. The management state thia ie absolutely necessary if they are to retain the trade, aa other collieries in the district are selling below the nominal fixed rate of la. They have been driven to fight, and are determined to carry it on to the bitter end.
