Drunkenness.—A first offender was fined ss, or in default 24 hours in Mount Eden.

Alleged Assault.—The hearing of a charge against Lily Barrett, than she did assault Patrick Sullivan so as to cause him actual bodily harm, was adjourned until 23rd inst-., bail being allowed.—Mr Napier appeared on behnlf of accused.

Adjodrned.—The charge againsb Wm. John Lyttle, alleging that; on lab August, whilst in possession of a building and property belonging to George Graham, he did wilfully damage tohe same, waa further adjourned till 21st; inst.

Alleged Assault.—Jaß. Goven, who was committed for trial yesterday on a charge of assault with intent ro rob, was further charged with unlawfully assaulting Sergeant Black in the execution of his duty on 14th Auguab.—Sergeant Black deposed as to accused resisting on the way to the police station. He had to threaten him with his baton. Accused kicked witness on the thigh.
