COOLGARDIE SYNDICATE.

A meeting of shareholders in the Coolgardie Prospecting Syndicate was held this afternoon at the Imperial Hotel. Mr J. G. Firth presided, and a large number of shareholders were also present.

If Dr. Symonds did not carry out his arrangement and decided to forfeit his deposit, there were several others in Coolgardie who were anxious to negotiate for the purchase of the mine, when the mine was sold the shaft was down 40 feet. Mr_ Firth said that the Syndicate's cable instructing them to negotiate with the other parties if Dr. Symonds failed to complete, had evidontly arrived too late. With regard to the £100 asked for, the Committee recommended that new shares of £1 each be issued, every ten shares of theso to rank an one original share, thus making 110 instead of 1,000. Thexe, which must bo taken up in a week, would realise the £100 required.
