"■ *~ Thursday Island, this day. News has been received that Wilson, who abducted a half-caste girl, anchored tbe stolon lugger near Boiger, New Guinea. Sortly after a diver's lugger appeared in eight, and Wilson took her to bo a Govern: menfc vessel sent after him. In order to 1 avoid capture he took poison and died from the effects. Wilson endeavoured to induce the girl to take poison, bub she refused.
