In by-gone days-rich returns were obtained from this mine which should therefore be well worth systematic development. The owners divided their interest into 80 shares of which number they, retained 40 and the other 40 were sold ab £30 each. ~Of the purchase money £300 goes to the promoters and £900 to the new company. A meeting to form a company takes place next Wednesday. LYDIA LICENSER HOLDING. This holding which ie situated at Maritofcota. is proposed to be-floated on the Wellington and Wanganui markets. Ib ie stated 1 thab stona taken from the reef in this ground by Dr. Heatherly, of Wanganui, ' was assayed at the Thames School of Mines, and returned £7 183 per ton. Five other assays made in Auckland, returned at the rate of £9 12s 6d per tori. ■ i,
