THE MIDLAND RAILWAY COMPANY.
London, July,7.
The debenture holders of the* New Zealand Midland Railway Company have agreed to the extension of time for payment) of interest until'the 20th April, 189Y, and to. accepb debentures in lieu of interest during the extension. Mr- Salt, Chairman of the Company, expressed himself confident that the company would succeed if the debenbure-ljolders support the shareholders. He declared that the, New Zealand Government, in negotiations, had deliberately delayed and wasted years when weeks would have sufficed for the purpose of fighting the case to an end.
