STODDART'S CRICKET TEAM.
London, May 7. A larom 'number, of people assembled at Plymor/th to welcome Stoddart's cricket team on their arrival. Peel, in the course of ar, interview, declared that colonial cricket had vastly-improved, and the members, of the team were charmed with their visa'; and the hospitality extended t& them. He believed that/ the Australian team to.be ch/jsen to visit England next year would comprise the best all round playera the 'colonies possessed.

Irvan article in the "Pall Mall," George Gif Yen saya that Sfcoddart's team in a marked degree reviyed Australian cricket, arjd a more popular team never toured the Colonies. Giffen considers that the beet Australian eleven is slightly stronger than Stoddart's team.
