[The Salsettewas an iron ship, builb in I*BB6 and registered* *as 100 v Ali at Lloyds.. She 'was the property of Messrs j; Shepherd arid Co., and* j was builb at Dumbarton by: Birrell, Stenhouse and Co. The dimeasions of the Saliette were : Length, - 259-4 feet; breadth, 382 feeb; and depth, 23*2 feet. ' ■ i •
