Marshal Campos has been appointed Governor of Cuba. The Earl of Kintore states that he will probably refuse the Governorship of Jamaica. " ' ' . The latest news received from Chitral was dated 21st, and stated bhab the forts were holding out againsb the hostile rebels. The men were so far safe. The gunboat Palutna has been paid off ab Brisbane and surveying work will be continued by H.M.s. Dars.
