SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT THE THAMES.

Thames, this day. A serious accident occurred yesterday afternoon to a young man, named John Murphy, employed at Mr R. P. Gibbons' mills ab Kopu. Murphy'was working near a re-cutter circular saw, and was reaching over to shift a water pipe when his right hand came in .contact with; the■>saw, and: serious injuries were inflicted. The sufferer was conveyed to the Hospital, when it was found necessary to amputate the injured arm two inches above the wrisb. Tho operation was performed by Drs. Williams and Callan. Murphy is doing as well as can be expected. _____
