ACTION FOR DAMAGES.
WRIT SERVED ON THE STEAMER HAWKE'S BAY.
A wbit claiming for £450 damages, alleged to have been caused by the Tyser Company's steamer Hawke's Bay while entering Calliope Dock last Saturday, was this morning issued on the s.s. Hawke's Bay, before the steamer lefb for Gisborne. Ib is alleged thab the Hawke's Bay, while being floated into the Calliope Dock, collided with the wharf adjacent to the dock, and damaged a number of piles. The, matter will come up at the meeting of the Harbour Board to be held nexb Tuesday, when it will be decided as to what further steps are Iso be taken. .
