FUNERAL OF GOVERNOR DUFF.

The funeral oi Sir Roberb Duff, which took place bhis afbernoon, was a brue national tribute, and was much the largest ever witnessed in bhe Ausbralian colonies. Universal tokens of mourning were shown. It is estimated thab fully 100,000 people witnessed fche funeral procession. The cortege included .250 carriages and other vehicles containing leading colonists and representative men, 1200 of tbfe militaryand 400 of the, naval forces of the colony, 200 tailors and marines from, the ships of the Royal Navy in port, 40 from the Gorman warship f3uf.sard, large contingents of Masonic bodies, five, brigades, guilds, etc. Every class of the conamunity was fully represented. The ceretaony ab the gravo was mosb impressively, performed by bhe Primate, assisted by the Dean of Sydney and other clergymen. The remains were temporarily interred in bh_" family burying ground of Sir George lanes, it being the intention of the family to have themeventually removed to Scotland, Lady Duff and ber daughters weufc to tbe cemetery in a private carriage by a different route to the procession, and witnessed bhe ceremony ab the graveside.
