The sis. Richmond arrived ab 7.30 o'clock yesterday morning from the round trip to Rarotonga and Tahiti. She discharged and loaded in the Islands,leaving Rarotonga for Auckland finally on the 17th insb. The paseage was a tine one, the Richmond berthing ab the Railway Wharf as'above.

Ab 7.30 rfclock this morning, the b.s. Tarawera arrived from Sydney. The purser, Mr A. G. Tubby, to whom we are indebted for files, reports that she lefb Margaret-street Wharf at 4.30 p.m. on the 20^h insfc., passed the Heads at 5.15 p.m., sighted the Three Kingrs at 9 a.m. on 24th, and arrived as above, having experienced fine, bright weather with moderate south* east winds, throughout.

The topsail schooner Huia, recently built by Mr Barbour, of Aratapu, for Messrs Mitchelson Bros., at a cost of about £4,000, arrived in porb this morning with a cargo of coal for the Devonporb Ferry Company, The schooner made a somewhab lengthy passage of 16 days, owing to meeting contrary winds. The vessel, a full description of which appeared some months ago in these columns, is commanded by Captain McKenzie, late of the barque Vivid. On discharge she leaves for the Kaipara to load for Sydney.

She left Tonga on bbc Bth instant, and when five days oub meb a strong norbh-easb gale, and again, when off the North Cape a heavy gale, lasting two days, was encountered. The barqua anchored inside Tiri on Friday night, and was towed into port as above.. The Prospect visited this porb several years ago, loading with gum and flax for New York.
