At the Conference of Chief Inspectors of Stock, it was resolved to obtain official information from California whether swine fever, hog cholera, or,, other, infectious or contagious diseases exist "there; This action was taken in consequence of a desire of New! South Wales breeders to import swrae from California; 'Pigs of that State are said to be'superior for bacon purpose. "The Conference' decided Ho reduce the termof for cattle and eheepfrom 60 to 30 days,' provided no malignanb disease exists in Greab Britain.
