Whang arei, this day. An accident occurred yesterday morning ab Maunt. by which a man named Joseph Edge lost hia life. He was felling a large punri tree, which, inetead of taking the direction intended, etruck another tree, causing it to fall on Edge. His mate, who tortunately was working with him, went for assistance, but ib was fully two hours bofore Edge could be extricated. Dr. Smith was in attendance, and did all ho could for him. Late last night both Drs. Hall and bmith were again sent for, bub Edge died before they arrived. His thigh had been terribly crushed, besides other injuries, and the shock was too greab. He leaves a wife and a large family of young children, for whom much sympathy is felb. Edge was a very steady, hard-working fellow, and much respected.
