Mr J. A. Gilrubh, Governmenb Veberinary, has reburned from an official bour of the Middle Island and after examining several sheep supposed to be suffering from oancer he still adheres to tbe opinion expressed in his recenb annual official report that he has not seen a single case of brue cancer amongst stock in the colony. The sheep examined by him and supposed to be affected wibh cancer were suffering, in every case, either from skin disease or actinomycosis. Mr Gilrubh will shorbly vißib the Government experimental farm near Waverly, and on his return will go to Chatham Islands to investigate a complaint of some disease (supposed to be neuropathic) which has made its appearance there.
