It is understood that the Cabinet has ordered the warships Redbreast, the Pigeon, and two other ships to reinforce Admiral Freemantle and the China Squadron,
Troops frotn Singapore will proceed to China if necessary. H.M.s. Bramble will be stationed at Aden until relieved.
Admiral Fitzroy has been directed to fix the headquarters of the Mediterranean Squadron during trie winter at Gibraltar.
