WESLEY AN METHODIST QUARTERLY MEETING
GRAFTON ROAD CIRCUIT.
The meeting was held last evening in the Newmarket Church. There were present: —Roy. D. McNiccol (Chairman), Rev. S. Lawry, Mr R. Froude, Circuit, Steward, and seventeen members. Mr Geo. Kent was appointed junior circuib steward in place of Mr Waterhouse, who has resigned. The quarterly report was as follows :— Number of members, 198 ; on trial, 7 ; catechumens, 41; communicants, 60/ income, £127 11s 4d ; expenditure "£135 12s Id, leaving deficit for quarter £8 0s 9d ; special contribution collected by ladies' committee, £20, brought tho income to £147 11s 4d, and a debit balance of £47 93 8d from last quarter made the expenditure £183 la 9d, leaving a total circuit debit of £35 }0a sd. A hearty.vote of thanks was 'tendered to Mrs McNiccol, Mrs Lawry, Mrs Froude and the other ladies who worked so hard to collect the £20 for the circuit debt. Mr Hogg was appointed visitor to the Sunday-schools. It was decided to recommend the leaders' meeting to arrange for special services during the quarter. The invitations for the coming year were made by the circuib steworda To Revs. McNiccol and Lawry, and were heartily accepted by them.
