ALLEGED ROBBERY OF DEBENTURES.
: < • Melbourne, October 2. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Burford, an officer of the Bank of New South Wales, for the larceny of seven hundred pounds worth of debentures. The theft was only discovered through his obtaining leave of absence on the ground of illhealth in August. • It is supposed that Burford has gone to San Francisco, and that he sold the debentures before his departure.
