Passengers : Misses Grant, Gard, Pain, Mesdames Burns, Russell, Trasker, West, Mowat, Barnard, Captains Trakcer and Slater, Dr. Alexander, Mesara You Annheim, Barnard, Webster, Shanks, Brett, Coward, Butts, Morris, Blyth, Russell, Liptobt, Buchanan, Gilchrist, and 18 steerage. September 2. —Arrived : Penguin, s.s,, from Lytbelton ; Wakatu, e.s., from Kaikoura ; Huon Belle, kebcb, from Lyttelton. Sailed : Mahinapua, s.s., for Nelson, Taranaki, and the Manukau.

September 2. —Arrived: Porb Melbourne, s.s., from Wellington ; Omapere, a.s., from the South ; Dingadee. s.s., from Westport ; Rosamond, s.s., from Greymouth. Sailed : Bells, barque, for Newcastle ; John Bell, schooner, for Nelson. •• The Wairarapa. Gisborne, September 3.—The s.e. Wairarapa, from Southern ports, arrived this morning at 7 o'clock, bub owing to the heavy S.S. W. gale was.unable to work the port, and proceeded on to Auckland, overcarrying passengers and cargo. The heavy sea has caused further damage to the breakwater. . , ;
