ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The ordinary meeting of bhe Council was held lasb night. There were presenb : Mrs Yabes (Mayor), Messrs Jackson, Collodg-e, Wade, Hills, Tapp, Nixon, Shaldrick, McKenzie and Hastie. Accounts.—A large number of accounts was passed for payment. Tenders. — The following tenders were -iceepted : Military parade reserve, Mr Fan-all, £11 2s per annum ; grazing reserve, Mounb Smarb, Colledgo Bros., £46 10s per annum ; rifle reserve, Captain Pibb, £3 6s per annum ; cemetery reserve, Mr McGann, £5 10. Medical Fees.—The solicitor of Dr. Scotb again wrote demanding payment of £38 15s, or they would sue on non-compli-ance.—lb was ordered that the Town Clerk imform the writer that as soon as funds are in hand the bill would be paid. The Cemetery.—Cr. J. ID. Jackson .poke in refarence to the Bill now before Parliamenb, and expressed his opinion thab the Bill should have been submitted to the Council before being printed and senb on to Wollin_.ton. Statement of Accounts.—The Town Clerk read the statement of accounts as follows :—Waterworks, credit balance, £93 18s 8d ; general account, credib balance, £47 3s Id.
