KEROSENE FOR DIPHTHERIA.

(To fche Editor.)

Sir,—As diphtheria is again prevalent, allow me through the columns of your widely-read paper to bear most emphatic testimony to the valao of kerosene as a remedial, agent in combatting this dread disease. Our eldest daughter and two little boys being affected by ib, we found ordinary kerosene, used as a gargle, or for painting the throat and tonsils, mosb effectual; its effect waa surprising. I write from a strong sense of duty, desirous that everyone may know tho value of this simple remedy, to which, by God's blessing, we attribute our dear children's restoration to health and strength. We also kept a large jug of water with sulphuric acid added in the proportion of 5 drops to 1 tumbler, from which we gave each of the other children a winegiassful to drink every few hours, as recommended by Mr H. Waite some years ago.—l am, etc., A Grateful Parent.
