OCEAN MAILS.
STATEMENT BY THE POSTMASTER-
GENERAL,
London, July 14. In reply to a question, the PostmasterGeneral said tho Australian mails, via America, had not been destroyed (? delayed). The question of adopting the Canadian route was primarily one for the colonies to decide.
