St. Glair, the enterprising theatrical agenb, arrived from Sydney via Wellington to-day, to join the MontagueTumor Opera Company, he haying been unable to reach Auckland before, owing to previous business engagements. In consequence of the death of Mr Charles Turner, the managers have to-day had undor consideration the future movements of the Company, and ill is gratifying bo learn that it has been decided to fulfil all Southern engagements. This can ho done by a slight change in the selection of operas, and the casting of Mr YVm. YValshe in all leading tenor roles. So far aa tho Auckland season is concerned, the Company are bo much affected by the death of Mr Turner, that there is a general feeling that, out of respect for the memory of the deceased gentleman, the performances should be suspended for the present week. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nexb, however, the Company will produce thiee of their strongest operas and Mrs Turner will appear on one or more evenings during the season. Mr Harry Cross, tho genial business manager will remain w ifch the Company, and Mr St. Glair will go on in advance.
